| Breeders Quote: L & D’s Maggie born January 7, 2010 is a cute, young doe with very nice type and excellent color. She has a good head and ear, is compact, and should stay on the smaller side. She has good width and depth over the shoulder, balances well throughout, and has a full HQ. What I really like about this doe is that she has some of the great purebred lionheads of the past in her background as well as some hybridization on both sides of her pedigree. I believe that correct coloring is essential which hybridization tends to provide. I know that this doe should be able to help someone’s herd with regard to color as well as with her other good attributes. As an added bonus, this doe has brokens in her background and her grand dam Lyonnesse Ruby has produced some of the nicest patterned broken lionheads I have ever seen. |
Maggie has many winning lionheads in her background. Her sire, Lyonnesse Gallant took several BOVs and BOSV’s in stiff competition in the fall of 2009. His brother Lyonnesse Fred was the BOB youth winner of the NRLRC Specialty at NY Convention in 2009. Her dam Critter Haven’s Sasha placed BOV at West Friendship, MD in the spring of 2009. Sasha is the daughter of multiple BOB winner (including NY Convention) MP Falgun who produced five 1st place rabbits at Nationals in 2008. Her grand dam on her sire’s side Lyonnesse Ruby with several BOV wins and BOS at Leesport PA in 2009 and was BOSV Rew at OH Convention in 2009. Ruby’s sire is Bastet’s Digby sire of multiple BOB winner Lyonnesse Duke as well as many other BOB winners. Maggie’s grand sire on her sire’s side is Chowmane Ginkonut BOSV Seal at 2009 Nationals. Ginkonut has many winning lionheads in his background including MP Johnny Blaze. |
