| Breeders Quote: I like Royal Blue’s overall look; he has a nice coat, very good bone, good top line, great width throughout and a cute head and ear. I would fault him for being a tad bit flat over his HQs not bad at all though. He has a good mane for being almost a SR. The only reason I’m letting him go is because I don’t want to breed for dilutes, but they keep popping up in my herd. I hung onto him and his brother for a long time deciding on what to do with them, I figured since I’m not working on this color I would donate one of them and find the other a home, his brother looked almost identical to him. |
Royal Blue comes from very consistent winning lines. His Dam is Mya who has gotten many BOBs here in Northern California; she has thick bone, good width and is very compact. Mya’s Sire is one of my favorite herd bucks Dmitri; this is where the nice width and thick bone comes from. Dmitri consistently produces BOB winners! His Sire is Haven’s Milo who is out of DJ’s Simba the very last rabbit I picked up from Diane Ostream a.ka. Ricketson (DJ’s Lionsden) before she got out of the breed, Simba is still producing winning rabbits to this day. If you’re familiar with Diane you will know she had some very nice consistent stock. |
